Bio

I have been a dinghy sailor since the age of 13, and a canoeist for at least 5 years before that. Before becoming a professional sailmaker five years ago, I worked stints for marinas, Canoe Cove Yachts, Sobstad Sailmakers and a yacht charter company.

I've paddled several rivers in Ontario, and instructed whitewater canoeing and canoe tripping groups. I lived on board my 27 foot wooden sailboat for 3 years before returning to my native Ontario where I sail and paddle on Lake Huron with my family.

I am currently the owner, CEO, and Chief Floor Sweeper at Skycraft Sail and Canvas. In addition to the afore mentioned duties, I design and make sails for boats up to 45 feet in length, provide a rigging service and sell marine hardware and supplies.
