The girl is my bride, Kari Richards. The boat is Julie K, a Stevenson designed Weekender. I built the boat and the shot was taken just prior to the first sail on launch day, August 23rd, 2003 on Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis. Kari was given the eye patch by a smart alec friend who said he just happened to have it in the glove box of his car. Unfortunately, he had no parrot. Regards,
