      | Last week I relaunched my Platt Monfort
      
      Rob Roy. I first built it several years ago, but it came out too 
      heavy.  I used Nylon canvas to cover the boat originally and Neoprene 
      to coat it.  I used it but not enough.  Finally, I swallowed 
      hard and started cutting.  I managed to eliminate about 20 pounds of 
      unnecessary wood that I had added, thinking that the boat as shown in the 
      plans was not stout enough.  Then I covered it with some new 10oz. 
      Nylon twill and coated that with Hypalon.
